And our larger motto is to ‘Entertain the World’. We believe in storytelling and the competition is not specifically restricted to the medium of animation. It could be Live-Action too! There are FOUR categories. Each category will have a ‘WINNER’,
a ‘FIRST RUNNER-UP’ & a ‘SECOND RUNNER-UP’.

Animation Short Films
Who can participate?Students, Professionals/Individuals, Studios, Association of Persons or Body of Individuals.
Maximum Duration 22 minThe entry for selection shall be submitted either as a streaming video link (Youtube, Vimeo, etc) or as a downloadable video file link in any of the following formats: MOV, AVI, or MPEG with a minimum resolution of 1280X720 Pixels (General compression codec of H.264); subtitled in English if in any other language. If the entry is shortlisted, the festival office will request for high quality version for final screening. Registration form must also contain the following images: Portrait of the CREATOR/DIRECTOR (not less than 7 inches height, 300 dpi, jpg format), 5 screenshots (8*10 cm or above, 300 dpi, and jpg format); 1-2 posters (6*8 cm or above, 300 dpi, and jpg format)
Animation TV Feature & Series
Who can participate?Students, Professionals/Individuals, Studios, Association of Persons or Body of Individuals.
TV Feature minimum duration 66 minutes /The entry for selection shall be submitted either as a streaming video link (Youtube, Vimeo, etc) or as a downloadable video file link in any of the following formats: MOV, AVI, or MPEG with a minimum resolution of 1280X720 Pixels (General compression codec of H.264); subtitled in English if in any other language. The TV feature/series should be fully owed/co-produced/rights owned by the producer. If the entry is shortlisted, the festival office will request for high quality version for final screening. Registration form must also contain the following images: Portrait of the CREATOR/DIRECTOR (not less than 7 inches height, 300 dpi, jpg format), 5 screenshots (8*10 cm or above, 300 dpi, and jpg format); 1-2 posters (6*8 cm or above, 300 dpi, and jpg format)
Live Action Short Films

FILM SELECTION
Film selection is carried out by the Festival Director, ANIMATION MASTERS SUMMIT – 2018, in collaboration with a panel of top class professionals from the industry.
The nominees will be announced on April 25, 2018.
Names of winning films and their creators will be published on our website and also the same will be notified to the person who submitted through their registered email. The decision of Toonz and its judges with respect to Film selection is binding and final. Each creator whose film is chosen for the official festival program will be contacted by the Festival management for further arrangements
RULES
All entries shall abide by the following rules:
Participation is for all animated & live action films which are produced between June 1, 2013 and 2018 for all nationalities belonging to the region of South-East Asia. The registration of the works at FLYING ELEPHANT COMPETITION is free of charge and can be done via online registration on the site animationsummit.in (in the section: COMPETITION 2018) not later than April 10, 2018(“Submission Deadline”); OR by sending materials to the Festival office within the submission deadline in the format and manner provided in these Terms and Conditions. Incomplete entry forms shall not be accepted for Flying Elephant Competition. Any forms or materials received after the Submission Deadline shall be considered invalid. Materials will only be accepted in English language or with English subtitles (except for the works that do not involve dialogue). The works that have already been included in previous editions of the Competition will not be accepted for the current year’s competition. The materials sent to the Flying Elephant Competition will not be returned at any point of time. All submission materials except the materials submitted by the winning entrants will be archived by the organizing committee after the Competition.
