India’s pioneer in the field of Animation Education, Mr R L Mistry is the animator of the iconic Doordarshan logo the ‘DD Eye’. As an animation film designer and an educator from NID , he received the Indian President’s Award for the Best Director and Animation Film, “National Highway” at the 32nd National Film Festival of India, 1985. Being a man of few words with a very unique style of drawing he remains a pioneer of animation education in India.
He is involved as a Jury, and Visiting Faculty at several Animation Institutes like Satyajit Ray FTII, Kolkata; he was part of the faculty at NID; and also Professor and Head of Department of Communication Design in MIT, Pune.
Entertaining and engaging children is no mean feat and Anu Sikka has perfected it at Nickelodeon India. Anu’s objective was to set new standards for Indian animation and has brought to life characters like Motu Patlu, Shiva and Rudra that have emerged as category frontrunners . Her ahead of the game strategy by sanctioning production of shows like Motu Patlu and Pakdam Pakdai has contributed to Nickelodeon’s journey to Numero Uno. With over 22 years of work experience , prior to Viacom18 Anu was with Hungama as Creative Director and preceding that she was Executive Producer with Sab TV leading the Delhi bureau.
With close to 25 years’ experience supervising Visual Effects in Indian cinema, Srinivas Mohan is nothing lesser than a pioneer in India. He is the Co Founder and CEO of Indian Artists Computer Graphics Pvt. Ltd. and Srinivas has created magical entertainment experiences in around 50 feature films like Indian, Anniyan, Krrish, Enthiran, Baahubali, and his latest visual treat, Enthiran 2.0. Srinivas is a four-time winner of the National Films Awards, in the category of Best Special Effects.
With 20 years of experience, Vivek is an active member of the Indian animation community. A key part of his responsibility at Vaanarsena studios has been to bring high quality 2D and 3D animation, with engaging storytelling, back to the Indian consumer space. He has previously worked with Rhythm and Hues Studios and Dreamworks Animation on highly acclaimed Hollywood features such as Superman Returns, Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, The Incredible Hulk to name a few.
Uttam Pal Singh has over 18 years of experience from content development and design, to directing and producing award-winning shows, developing IPs for Kids
Networks to heading Discovery Kids Channel. He has worked with leading Broadcasters and Global Brands such as Cartoon Network, The Walt Disney, POGO, Channel [v], MTV, Star TV Leo Burnette and Ogilvy & Mather. Most recently, he spearheaded the transformation and lifted rankings of Discovery Kids India, with contrarian strategies and launch of new Super Hit IP – Little Singham.
Christian Schneider started his career as a tax accountant, even though his passion was music. He started composing and producing music in 1982. He created the cartoon character GUMMIBAR (aka GUMMYBEAR) and oversaw the marketing strategy to introduce it to the world. He composed the song “I AM A GUMMYBEAR” and has produced most of GUMMYBEAR’s music videos to date. He has also worked with artists such as Tina Charles, Sash!, Blackblood, Gloria Gaynor, Bobby Womack, Gil Scott Heron, Rufus Thomas, Lambada and many others.
Pete Dodd is a Creator, Designer and Director par excellence with over 18 years’ experience in various roles from Concept Development, Animating and Directing across the whole spectrum of audiences from preschool to family, to narratives requiring a more serious tone. He has led animation on iconic feature films such as The Tale of Despereaux and animated on Tim Burton's Corpse Bride, Frankenweenie, as well as Wes Anderson’s Fantastic Mr. Fox, to name but a few. He was also Co-Director, Development, on the BBC / Netflix miniseries Watership Down.
Debra is an engineer, spokesperson, and one of the leading voices in the movement to encourage girls' interest in engineering. Debra developed GoldieBlox after noticing the lack of engineering toys targeted at girls. Debra launched a kickstarter campaign that raised nearly $300,000 after encountering skepticism at a New York Toy Fair. GoldieBlox is now available at hundreds of retailers including major stores like Toys "R" Us. She was named TIME's Person of the Moment and Business Insider's 30 Women Who Are Changing the World.
Mayur Puri is a renowned film-maker, screenwriter, lyricist, with more than hundred super Bollywood hits like "Om Shanti Om", "ABCD", "ABCD2" to his credit. As a songwriter, he has worked with top composers like A R Rahman. He is the first name Walt Disney, Marvel and Pixar trust when it comes to localizing content for India. His game changing Hindi Versions of Hollywood projects include "The Jungle Book" and "Avengers: Infinity War". His latest works includes the Hindi Version of "Avengers: Endgame". He is working on Disney's "The Lion King" next.
